In order to receive an Early Start Rating, a player must have generated at least two valid dynamic ratings during 2008 Adult and/or Senior league play. Early Start Ratings are not generated for combined rating leagues such as Mixed Doubles, Super Seniors and Combo or if you did not participate in USTA league play during the 2008 Championship year.
ESL Ratings are used for USTA Leagues where players begin registration and their match play prior to the publication of Year End ratings in mid November.
An ESL Rating is the dynamic rating of a player as of 08.28.08. The dynamic rating is a calculation of a player's match record through the end of the USTA New England league season.
Year End NTRP Ratings are published in mid November after the completion of the USTA League National Championships. Instructions for NTRP appeals are described in the USTA New England USTA League Regulation 12.A, 12.B, 12.C 1-5 (applies to the timeframe when Year End NTRP Ratings are published)
In order to appeal an ESL Rating, only the player may submit a request by e-mail directly to the local coordinator and include their name, USTA#, current rating and the requested level.
